Cacao Calling is so excited to be sharing with you Ceremonial Grade Cacao from both Peru and Ecuador.

In this offering, we are supporting two indigenous Amazonian communities to protect their organic land and retain their financial independence.

When sourcing the Ceremonial Cacao I wanted to share with you, it was so important for me to know exactly where I was getting it from and that it was the purest form, traditionally made, coming to me in the most ethical, fair-trade and natural way. I have tried a lot of Ceremonial Cacao over the years, and in my truth the two Cacao Calling offerings below are extra special to me.

I hope you enjoy them just as much as I do!

The look, feel and taste

The beautiful thing about Ceremonial Cacao is that two batches of cacao will never be the same. Cacao depends highly on the seasons, the intricacies of nature, insects and of course Mother Earth herself.

You will notice when receiving your cacao that there may be a natural marbling look to it so don’t be alarmed when you see this! This white marbling is known as the ‘bloom’ and these beautiful patterns are a sign that your cacao is whole and unprocessed which maximises its health benefits!

The cacao from Peru has a more smooth and shiny appearance, whilst the cacao from Ecuador looks rough and bumpy. You will experience a different feeling when drinking the two types of Ceremonial Cacao. Feelings of deep grounding, clarity, heart opening and joy are some of the many sensations that these offerings bring to light! It can generate a warm and euphoric body-state not too dissimilar to the elation some people experience when feeling deeply connected with life in a beautiful moment.

Drinking Ceremonial Cacao in it’s purest form can be bitter but don’t allow this to put you off as I have some lovely methods for making your cacao more enjoyable by sharing my inspiration.
